Acemate Expands AI Tennis Platform With New Drill and Scoring System

AI tennis training company Acemate has introduced a major software upgrade designed to evolve its robotic tennis system from a rally partner into a more structured, data-driven training platform.

The update centers on a new “Drill Mode” that adds scored target-based practice, real-time analytics, and customizable training templates to the company’s AI-powered tennis robot ecosystem.

Backed by publicly traded robotics company OneRobotics, Acemate said the new system was developed in response to user demand for more purposeful and measurable practice sessions. Rather than relying solely on manual adjustments to speed, spin, and ball placement, players can now select pre-built training sessions focused on specific shot patterns and tactical objectives.

The upgraded platform introduces target-zone training, where players attempt to land shots within designated court areas while the system tracks accuracy, shot distribution, rally count, speed, and session duration in real time. At the conclusion of each session, users receive a performance score along with post-session analytics intended to guide future training.

Acemate says the release represents a broader shift toward AI-assisted coaching and long-term player development. The company indicated future roadmap plans include integrated stroke analysis, video review, progress tracking, and personalized training recommendations designed to create a more comprehensive AI coaching ecosystem.

The updated app also includes a redesigned interface, centralized machine controls, multilingual support, and an expanded library of more than 45 structured drills spanning Rally, Drill, and Ball Machine modes.

Acemate emerged from a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2025 that raised approximately $2.4 million and gained visibility for its vision-based robotic training system capable of moving, rallying, and dynamically responding to players in real time. The company has since positioned itself within the growing convergence of racquet sports, robotics, and AI-enabled performance technology.
