Rally and the American Team Pickleball League (ATPL) have formed a national growth partnership aimed at expanding standardized team-based pickleball leagues across the United States.
Under the agreement, ATPL affiliates nationwide will adopt Rally’s league management platform, which provides scheduling, scores, standings, lineups and player communications. The organizations will also jointly invest in marketing, affiliate onboarding and league infrastructure as ATPL works to expand its national footprint. Rally currently serves more than 800 racquet sports leagues and more than one million players across North America.
ATPL has developed a network of independent local affiliates built around a standardized team competition format and a pathway from local league play to a national championship. The partnership is designed to combine that structure with Rally’s technology and marketing capabilities, addressing what the organizations see as a fragmented landscape for team-based pickleball.
Rally expanded its presence in pickleball earlier this year through its July acquisition of Pickleballscores as part of its acquisition of the Tenniscores platform. ATPL founder Greg Mather said the partnership will provide affiliates with technology specifically suited to team competition while giving the organization additional resources to recruit and support leagues nationwide.
As part of the agreement, Rally will become title sponsor of the ATPL National Championship, scheduled for Nov. 5-8, 2026, at Pictona at Holly Hill in Florida. ATPL will continue to oversee affiliate recruitment, competition formats and the championship pathway, while Rally becomes the standardized league-management platform across the network.
The partnership comes as pickleball organizations increasingly look beyond recreational participation toward more structured league and team competition. According to figures cited in the announcement from the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, U.S. pickleball participation reached 24.3 million players in 2025.
