CHICAGO — Wilson Sporting Goods has introduced Defyer™, a new performance tennis racquet franchise engineered to deliver maximum spin and explosive power for the modern game, marking the company’s latest innovation in one of the sport’s most competitive equipment categories.

Developed by Wilson Labs, the company’s research and innovation division, the Defyer line was created to meet the demands of today’s faster, more powerful athletes. Engineers spent more than a year collaborating with touring professionals and collegiate players to refine the frame, producing a racquet designed to generate greater racquet-head speed, enhanced spin potential and increased stability without sacrificing maneuverability.

The new franchise has already earned validation at the highest levels of the sport. Wilson athletes Karen Khachanov, Sebastian Korda, Peyton Stearns and Arthur Fery participated in the development process, while recent Wilson signees Holger Rune and rising French standout Moïse Kouamé adopted prototype versions during competition before the official launch.

Defyer incorporates several new technologies aimed at maximizing performance, including the Torq Shaft, designed to increase frame stability while allowing greater hoop flex for heavier groundstrokes; the Airfoil Bumper™, which reduces aerodynamic drag to accelerate racquet-head speed; and Si3D™ technology, engineered to optimize lateral bending and generate heavier spin. The collection also debuts an “Adrenalyn Red” cosmetic inspired by Wilson’s iconic branding.

The initial lineup includes four performance models—Defyer 100, Defyer 100L, Defyer 100UL and the Defyer 98 Pro—giving players options across a range of swing weights and performance profiles. The racquets are available for advance purchase with retail pricing ranging from approximately $279 to $299.

The launch represents Wilson’s latest investment in performance racquet innovation following recent updates to its Blade and RF collections. As equipment manufacturers continue to tailor products to the increasing speed and spin demands of the professional game, the Defyer platform positions Wilson squarely in the race to deliver next-generation technology for advanced competitors.
