CourtsApp is taking its racquet sports booking platform nationwide, announcing an expansion that brings more than 67,000 facilities and 280,000 courts across the United States into a single digital marketplace. The move positions the New York-based company to capitalize on growing participation in tennis, pickleball, padel and other racquet sports while addressing one of the industry’s persistent challenges: fragmented court discovery and reservation systems.
Founded by entrepreneur and real estate developer Daren Hornig and creative executive Kate Daggett, CourtsApp initially launched in the New York tri-state area with a model designed to simplify court reservations. The platform now covers seven sports, including squash, badminton, racquetball and table tennis, allowing users to search for facilities, discover tournaments and open play opportunities, and book courts directly where instant reservations are supported.
For facility operators, CourtsApp offers a distribution channel that can increase visibility and help fill unused court inventory without requiring clubs to replace their existing management software. Facilities can claim their listings, connect players to their own reservation systems or enable direct bookings and payments through CourtsApp. The company has also extended its reach through integrations and discovery channels including Google Reserve, ChatGPT, Claude and pickleball ratings platform DUPR.
The national rollout represents a significant step in CourtsApp’s ambition to become a centralized marketplace for the racquet sports industry, similar to the role Expedia plays in travel. Beyond court reservations, the company plans to introduce lesson bookings and an online pro shop featuring equipment from leading brands and retailers.
From a business perspective, the expansion highlights the growing opportunity for technology companies to connect players with an increasingly diverse network of public courts, private clubs and commercial facilities. By aggregating inventory and directing consumer demand toward participating operators, CourtsApp is pursuing a scalable marketplace model built around discovery, bookings and facility utilization.
