IBM is bringing the US Open back to the heart of Manhattan with a free, four-day fan experience at Madison Square Park during the tournament’s Championship Weekend. The event, scheduled for Sept. 10-13, will combine live US Open viewing with interactive tennis experiences, artificial intelligence-powered activations, merchandise and giveaways. IBM is the official AI and Cloud sponsor of the US Open.

Among the featured attractions will be IBM Serve Speed, a tennis simulator that allows fans to measure the speed and accuracy of their serves and compare their results with professional players. Fans can also try Calling the Shots, an AI-enabled table tennis experience that generates an AI-powered recap of each match, and an AI Photobooth that places participants into US Open- and New York-themed settings.

The Madison Square Park activation extends IBM’s longtime technology partnership with the USTA, which dates to 1992 and now supports digital experiences reaching more than 14 million tennis fans globally each year. For the 2026 US Open, IBM and the USTA have introduced additional AI-powered features across USOpen.org and the tournament app, including personalized Live Updates, a new Serve Quality metric and Key Moments analysis designed to identify important momentum shifts during matches.

The outdoor fan experience will coincide with the closing rounds of the tournament, beginning with the women’s semifinals Thursday evening and continuing through the men’s final on Sunday. Located near IBM’s New York flagship office at One Madison Avenue, the activation gives fans without grounds access at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center another way to experience the final days of the 2026 US Open from Manhattan.
