The indoor pickleball boom continues across the Midwest as The Picklr opened its newest Indiana facility in Avon, marking another milestone in the franchise’s rapid national expansion.
The new club celebrated its grand opening on June 6 with a community-focused event featuring open play, competitions, raffles, food vendors, and membership giveaways. Located in the Shiloh Crossing Shopping Center west of Indianapolis, the facility adds another premium indoor destination to one of the country’s fastest-growing pickleball markets.
Spanning approximately 35,000 square feet, the Avon club features 12 fully fenced indoor courts, including two championship-sized courts, along with a pro shop, private event space, locker room amenities, and a social gathering area. The facility utilizes The Picklr’s outdoor-style court surfacing designed to replicate competitive outdoor play conditions in a climate-controlled environment.
The opening represents the third Picklr location in the greater Indianapolis market, with additional Indiana clubs already under development. Local franchise operators Ron Brock and Dave Gilreath, through Pickle Indy, continue to lead the brand’s regional growth strategy, which now extends beyond Indiana into Tennessee and Florida.
Members at the Avon location receive access to Picklr clubs nationwide, along with court reservations, leagues, clinics, tournaments, and youth programming. The company has increasingly emphasized junior development initiatives as it looks to build long-term participation pathways for younger players entering the sport.
The latest opening underscores The Picklr’s expansion strategy. The Utah-based franchise reports more than 500 clubs sold nationwide and continues to position itself as one of the leading operators in the premium indoor pickleball sector. As participation growth drives demand for year-round playing opportunities, indoor concepts such as The Picklr are racing to establish regional networks and membership ecosystems across key U.S. markets.
