The Palm Beach Gardens club’s new seven-court facility is the second piece of a multiphase master plan aimed at keeping the community competitive in South Florida’s amenity race.
In South Florida’s private club market, amenities have become currency, and The Country Club at Mirasol just made a significant deposit. The member-owned club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., has opened an 18,000-square-foot indoor pickleball complex, a facility the club says ranks among the largest dedicated indoor pickleball spaces at any country club community in the region.
The building houses seven regulation-size courts in a fully climate-controlled environment, along with a spectator viewing area, a members’ lounge, dedicated retail space and stretching areas. It works alongside the six outdoor courts already in place at Mirasol’s Sports Complex, giving the club 13 courts in total.
For racquet programs in South Florida, the biggest scheduling enemy is the weather. Summer heat, afternoon thunderstorms and tropical systems routinely wipe out outdoor sessions. Moving play indoors removes that variable, and the club’s sports leadership expects consistent, year-round programming at professional-level court conditions with far fewer cancellations.
That reliability matters as pickleball continues its run as one of the fastest-growing participation sports in the country. Clubs that once added a few converted tennis courts are now building purpose-built facilities to meet demand from members who play several times a week.
The complex is the second major project finished under Mirasol’s multiphase Master Plan, which focuses on infrastructure, lifestyle amenities and the overall member experience. The first was an expanded main security gatehouse, completed in January 2026.
The plan’s biggest piece is still to come. A 41,000-square-foot building is scheduled to open in the fall, featuring an indoor-outdoor restaurant overlooking the renovated practice facility and the 18th holes of the club’s Sunrise and Sunset golf courses. It will also include a reimagined Golf Shop with expanded retail and custom club fitting, plus a grab-and-go dining option.
Club leadership has framed the investment in business terms. Mirasol Club & Association President Joe Nigro said amenities like the new complex help keep the community attractive in a competitive market and support, and potentially lift, residents’ property values. General Manager Eduard “Eddie” Cristal, CCM, said the club is focused on first-of-its-kind amenities that give members more ways to enjoy the community.
The Country Club at Mirasol sits within a gated community of 1,170 homes north of PGA Boulevard. The club has been recognized among America’s Greatest Private Clubs, holds Platinum Club of America and Distinguished Club status, is a designated Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and hosted the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic from 2003 to 2006.
