Tennis Channel delivered its largest audience in network history at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open, underscoring the continued surge in tennis consumption across both linear and digital platforms. The network reported a 39% year-over-year increase in total viewership, alongside record-setting streaming numbers, marking a new high-water mark for its multi-platform distribution strategy.
The growth extended beyond match coverage, with studio programming also seeing significant gains. TC Live, the network’s flagship pre- and post-match show, posted a 57% increase compared to 2025, reflecting stronger engagement across shoulder content and a broader appetite for always-on tennis coverage.
Digital performance played a central role in the milestone. TennisChannel.com, the Tennis Channel app, and social platforms all recorded record engagement levels during the tournament, reinforcing the shift toward streaming-first consumption habits among tennis audiences. The network’s promotional push—including a discounted annual subscription offering tied to the event—helped drive adoption and deepen viewer retention.
The results come amid broader momentum for the BNP Paribas Open itself, widely considered the “fifth Grand Slam,” which also set attendance records in 2026 with more than 527,000 fans on site.
Strategically, the performance positions Tennis Channel as a central beneficiary of tennis’s resurgence in the U.S., particularly as premium tournaments increasingly function as multi-platform media events. With continued coverage of the “Sunshine Double,” including the Miami Open, the network is leveraging marquee tournaments to expand reach, accelerate streaming growth, and reinforce its role as the sport’s primary U.S. broadcast home.
