Swiss watchmaker Rado has been named the Official Timekeeper of the Nexo Dallas Open, marking a high-profile debut as the tournament continues its rapid ascent on the global tennis calendar. The 2026 edition, taking place February 7–15, represents the event’s second year as an ATP 500 tournament—solidifying its status among the sport’s premier indoor stops.
Now staged at the Ford Center at The Star, the iconic home of the Dallas Cowboys, the Nexo Dallas Open has quickly evolved from a regional event into one of the most distinctive tournaments on tour. As one of only two ATP 500 events in the United States—and the country’s sole indoor hard-court ATP stop—the tournament offers enhanced ranking points, increased prize money, and a fast-paced, climate-controlled environment that favors aggressive, high-velocity tennis.
Rado’s appointment aligns with a milestone moment for the brand, which is celebrating 40 years of involvement in professional tennis. Known as the “Master of Materials,” Rado has built a reputation for pairing technical innovation with Swiss watchmaking tradition—qualities that mirror the Dallas Open’s own reinvention. As Official Timekeeper, Rado will install signature corner clocks throughout the venue, tracking match duration and time-of-day while enhancing the in-arena experience for more than 6,000 spectators.
Tournament officials see the partnership as a natural fit. The Dallas Open’s global reach continues to expand, with a 32-player draw in 2026 featuring competitors from across Europe and North America, reflecting the event’s growing international appeal despite its strong American roots. The indoor setting at The Star—free from wind and sun—has also positioned the tournament as an early-season proving ground for players who excel in precision-driven conditions.
Beyond the court, Rado is using the occasion to reinforce its long-standing relationship with the sport. Since first entering tennis in 1985, the brand has served as Official Timekeeper at numerous ATP and WTA events worldwide, including major stops in Munich, Vienna, Basel, Washington, D.C., and Acapulco.
To commemorate four decades in tennis, Rado has unveiled the Captain Cook x Tennis Limited Edition, a sport-luxury timepiece that blends vintage-inspired design with modern performance. Featuring tennis-specific details—such as Super-LumiNova® markers at 15, 30, 40, and game—the watch is engineered for versatility, offering interchangeable straps and robust durability suited for both courtside and everyday wear.
As the Nexo Dallas Open continues to gain momentum, the addition of Rado as Official Timekeeper underscores the tournament’s growing stature—and highlights how heritage brands and reinvented events are converging to shape the next chapter of professional tennis in the United States.
