IAPPF Welcomes Mindspring Padel as Sponsor to Boost Global Padel Growth

SEATTLE, WA. –  The International Association of Pickleball and Padel Facilities (IAPPF) announced that Mindspring Padel has joined the association as an official sponsor. This strategic partnership aligns IAPPF’s global network of facility stakeholders and industry suppliers with Mindspring’s expertise in developing and financing padel infrastructure, supporting the rapid growth of the sport in the United States and internationally.

The collaboration will include webinars, conference sessions, and advisory programs designed to help club owners successfully finance, launch, and operate padel courts.

“This partnership will accelerate the growth of padel facilities worldwide and promote seamless integration of padel alongside pickleball in multi-racquet venues,” said David Johnson, CEO of IAPPF. “Both organizations are committed to building a thriving community where padel and pickleball grow together.”

Headquartered in Belgium with operations across the U.S. and globally, Mindspring Padel is a leader in turnkey court development and financing. Its risk-free model covers 100% of upfront construction costs, allowing clubs to introduce padel without financial burden. In return, Mindspring receives a share of usage or membership fees. This approach empowers tennis, pickleball, and multi-sport venues to diversify offerings and meet growing demand for padel.

“Our company was founded on the simple belief that tennis and padel are friends. We now see that this extends to pickleball—especially in the U.S.,” said Anton Brams, CEO of Mindspring Padel. “Joining IAPPF ensures we’re engaging the right audience to learn, network, and contribute to this movement.”

According to the Playtomic Global Padel Report 2025, more than 3,280 new padel clubs opened worldwide in 2024—an average of nine per day—bringing the total number of courts to over 50,000 globally. That number is projected to exceed 81,000 by 2027.

In the United States, 352 new padel courts were added in 2024, with Florida, Texas, and California leading adoption. Notably, IAPPF research finds approximately 70 U.S. pickleball venues – and growing – now include padel courts, up from just 5% a year prior. This shift underscores the growing convergence of racquet sports and reinforces IAPPF’s inclusive, future-focused mission.

International Association of Pickleball and Padel Facilities

The IAPPF is the global trade association for pickleball and padel facility owners, operators, suppliers, investors, and professionals. Following its expansion to include padel earlier this year, IAPPF has become a key driver of education, collaboration, and innovation across both racquet sports. The association offers members access to best practices, supplier connections, industry research, and professional development opportunities.

Both organizations will offer expert insights on the opportunities for padel and integration with pickleball at upcoming events including a regional meetup in Chicago July 18, and the IAPPF International Conference and Expo October 2-3 in Austin. Tickets and sponsorships are now available.
