Blueair is bringing its athlete partnership with American tennis star Jessica Pegula to the product side, launching a limited-edition version of its AlwaysCool Handheld Fan ahead of the 2026 US Open.
The Jessica Pegula x Blueair AlwaysCool Handheld Fan features a chartreuse-and-navy color scheme inspired by Pegula’s home turf, along with her signature on the handle and special packaging. The collaboration represents Blueair’s first athlete-designed product colorway and expands a partnership with Pegula that began earlier this year.
The collaboration centers on the connection between staying comfortable in hot conditions and athletic performance. Pegula, currently ranked No. 3 in WTA singles, has worked with Blueair to highlight the role that air quality, sleep and recovery play in her training and competition routines. The new handheld fan brings that message courtside as players and fans contend with late-summer conditions in New York.
“Comfort is part of performance,” Pegula said in announcing the product, explaining that smaller recovery measures between matches and training sessions complement more traditional routines such as sleep and ice baths.
Beyond its Pegula-inspired appearance, the limited-edition model uses the same AeroSilent technology as Blueair’s standard AlwaysCool. The handheld fan offers 100 adjustable speed settings, operates at a reported 46 decibels at its highest setting and provides up to 32 hours of battery life when operated at minimum speed. USB-C charging allows it to be recharged between uses.
The collaboration is the latest example of a consumer brand leveraging a tennis ambassador for more than traditional advertising. Rather than simply placing Pegula in a campaign, Blueair has incorporated the athlete into a limited-edition product positioned around an issue directly relevant to tennis players and spectators: managing heat and comfort during summer competition.
Blueair has increasingly expanded its product portfolio beyond traditional air purification into a broader “air wellness” category that includes cooling, humidity and other products intended to improve indoor comfort. The Pegula collaboration gives the company a tennis-focused entry point for introducing that broader positioning to sports consumers.
The Jessica Pegula x Blueair AlwaysCool Handheld Fan carries a suggested retail price of $69.99 and is being sold exclusively through Blueair’s website.
