Agassi Sports Entertainment (ASE) has strengthened its push into sports technology, coaching education, and digital media by signing legendary tennis coach Darren Cahill to a long-term partnership agreement. The company announced that Cahill will contribute to a range of strategic initiatives, including coaching content, media projects, and the continued development of its AI-powered Agassi Intelligence platform.
Cahill, one of the most respected coaches in professional tennis, has guided multiple Grand Slam champions and former world No. 1 players, including Andre Agassi, Jannik Sinner, Simona Halep, and Lleyton Hewitt. ASE executives said his expertise and credibility will help accelerate the company’s efforts to deliver world-class coaching and fan engagement experiences across the global racket sports market.
The move is closely tied to ASE’s broader technology strategy. The company previously announced a collaboration with IBM to develop Agassi Intelligence, an AI-driven platform designed to provide video-based coaching analysis, premium content, commerce opportunities, and community features for tennis, pickleball, padel, and other racket sports participants. Cahill is expected to help shape future coaching tools and educational content within the platform.
According to SEC filings, the relationship extends beyond a traditional endorsement agreement. ASE entered into a long-term name-and-likeness licensing arrangement that grants the company rights to use Cahill’s image, voice, and related intellectual property, including plans tied to a future “Darren AI” coaching platform. The agreement is reported to have an initial 15-year term with renewal options.
For the racket sports industry, the addition of Cahill represents another step in ASE’s strategy of combining elite coaching expertise with emerging technology and media assets. The company has recently expanded its portfolio through initiatives including Agassi Intelligence and plans for a global World Series of Pickleball property, signaling ambitions to become a significant player in the growing racket sports ecosystem.
Industry observers will be watching closely as ASE rolls out additional details on Agassi Intelligence and how Cahill’s coaching philosophy is integrated into the platform’s future AI-powered training experiences.
